January 6, 2011, Forney TX- Crumbzz, in conjunction with the Forney Arts Council, will open the Crumbzz Tasting Pavilion and Gallery of the Arts on January 28th in Downtown Forney.
The Crumbzz Tasting Pavilion and art room will be the first brick in the downtown restoration plans. Kim Buttram calls it, “the beginning of the new Downtown Forney”. Buttram, Executive Director of the Forney Economic Development Corporation says, “The plan is to bring a ‘Main Street Approach’ to Downtown Forney by strengthening the mix of businesses while preserving the unique historic characteristics. The eventual result will be a pedestrian friendly downtown with more promotions and entertainment to bring people and business to the town center”.
J Stephen Sadler chose Forney to open the first Crumbzz Tasting Pavilion in the United States. Sadler is the chef of world class artisan cakes from 400 year old Austrian family recipes that are found in five star hotels and restaurants across the country. “We want to provide Forney with exquisite foods, but also an experience”, offers Sadler. “Crumbzz will offer new and exciting foods available only at the Forney Tasting Pavilion; like lemon ricotta pancakes, Liege waffles and gruyere egg soufflé paired with world renowned coffees and teas”.
The Forney Arts Council, a diverse band of Forney residents, is intent on creating an arts movement in Forney. In the new Gallery of the Arts shared with Crumbzz, Forney will be able to enjoy visual arts, music, theater, dance and culinary arts. “Art provides people with an opportunity for self expression, creating and celebrating life. The Gallery of the Arts will give people a great reason to come downtown”, says Robert Dobbs, president of the Forney Arts Council. Sadler adds, “Our tasting pavilion and art gallery is a space where people can share each other’s company while dining on artisan offerings amid local art and music in a wonderful atmosphere”.
